| The Intagibles Setting Attorneys Apart
Like with any profession, sometimes it is the intangibles that set professionals apart. Feelings of compassion by lawyers for their clients is often that which sets lawyers apart.
Compassion is one quality that often makes the difference on how hard one lawyer works, how he or she understands the client, and how passionately he/she fights for the client.
I try to maintain that level of compassion for my clients. I try to place myself in their shoes and relate my personal experiences to theirs. I find myself asking more personal questions than some lawyers might with the hope of getting to the heart of my client's life, problems and stengthes. More often than not, this approach allows me to zero in on appropriate defenses or legal arguments.
